About the player
Duvnjak's strike against Hajduk Split on Matchday 15 of the 2025–26 season was voted Goal of the Season in the SuperSport HNL. It is one of two goals he has scored in 63 league appearances for NK Varaždin, the club he joined on a free transfer on 30 July 2024.
His route there ran through the country's biggest academy. He spent a single season in the youth ranks at NK Croatia Sesvete before moving to Dinamo Zagreb in 2010, and he stayed a decade. The senior debut came in July 2020, against Varaždin, in a season Dinamo had already all but won; that appearance remains his only one for the first team. The two years that followed were spent with Dinamo Zagreb II in the 2.HNL, where he played 46 matches. In the same period The Guardian placed him on its "Next Generation 2020" list of 60 players born in 2003.
In June 2022 he signed for NK Istra 1961, and a year into that spell he went out on loan to Sesvete for the 2023–24 season — 27 games in the second tier and a goal. He returned to Istra in June 2024 with 12 top-flight appearances for the club to show for two seasons, and left within weeks.
Croatia have used him at every youth level from U14 to U20. The busiest was the U17 side, 14 caps and two goals; he added ten at U16, seven each at U15 and U19, and a single appearance at U20.
