V. G. Rofino

Víctor Rofino Gordo was born in Madrid and came through the youth ranks at Atlético Madrid and CD Leganés before joining Real Madrid's La Fábrica, where he played for the Juvenil A side and won the UEFA Youth League with the club's under-19 team in the 2019/2020 season.

A switch to Real Valladolid followed, first with the B team in Primera Federación before a single appearance for the senior side in Segunda División. A loan to Real Murcia in the 2023–2024 season proved more productive, with Rofino making 28 appearances and scoring once in Primera Federación. In July 2024 he joined União de Leiria on a free transfer, and has since reached around 45 appearances and a goal in Liga Portugal 2. His performances there caught the attention of Anderlecht, who submitted an offer of close to €1 million for him in 2025, an approach União de Leiria turned down.

Rofino has represented Guinea-Bissau at senior international level, debuting against Mali in October 2024 during Africa Cup of Nations 2025 qualification. He has since earned seven caps, appearing in further AFCON qualifiers against Guinea, Eswatini and Mozambique, as well as 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso and Egypt. For a centre-back, he is noted for a high level of statistical involvement in attacking play.
