Artsul

The Taça Corcovado, the first-turn title in the Campeonato Carioca Série B1, was a consolation prize in 2024: Artsul had just been relegated from the Série A2, and answered by winning the lower division outright before the year was out.

The club began life in 2001 as a company side, set up by the Artsul concrete-pipe firm, and played in blue, green and white — colours that gave it the nickname Tricolor da Dutra, after the Presidente Dutra Highway running past its home in the Austin district of Nova Iguaçu. The identity changed in August 2025, when a partnership with the University of Vassouras saw the club renamed Univassouras Artsul and repainted in burgundy and grey. The 2021 Taça Santos Dumont belongs to the earlier era, though the Superior Tribunal of Sports Justice later stripped the title from the club.
