The Calcutta Football League has been ruled for the better part of a century by East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan SC. The club has won no title in the top flight. What it has is a route into the same competition, taken in 2024–25 by finishing second in the second division behind Coal India — enough to go up.

Through the 2025–26 Premier Division the side has sat near the foot of its group, twelfth in Group 1 by August 2026. Bidhannagar had already been part of the 2023 season, when the league was expanded.
