DVTK 2

Bálint Pecsét is one of a dozen players who have moved from DVTK's under-21 and third-tier sides up to the senior team, the Jegesmedvék, or Polar Bears. Márton Farkas, Gergely Mattyasovszky and Boldizsár Szalay made the same step. That route is the reason DVTK II exists.

The Miskolc club decided in 2022 to field a hockey team in every age group and amateur league. DVTK II, also called DVTK Jegesmedvék OBIII, was the amateur side that came out of that decision. It plays in the East group of the Országos Bajnokság III (OB III), the third tier of Hungarian hockey. The senior team plays in the Erste Liga, and it won that league three years running, in 2015, 2016 and 2017. The reserves are the place where a young player gets regular games before the step up.

They play in red, white and black at the Miskolci Jégcsarnok in the Népkert district. The hall holds 2,000, with 1,304 seats. It is a small crowd, but the team started in front of it at once. Hevület and Egerszegi Titánok are the opponents met most often, though no rivalry at this level has a name of its own.

The first season, 2022–23, ended in a defeat by Hokiklub Budapest, which left DVTK II runners-up. A year later the bronze-medal match went to Egerszegi Titánok, and the team finished third. In 2025 they won the league.
