Ferencvaros 2

Between 1970–71 and 1979–80, Ferencváros won the Hungarian championship ten seasons in a row. Over the same decade they took the Hungarian Cup five years running, from 1973 to 1977.

The hockey section dates from 1928, and its first title came in 1950–51. The run of the 1970s was the longest, but not the last. Five more titles followed between 1990–91 and 1994–95, then one in 1996–97. After that the trophy went elsewhere for 21 seasons. It came back in 2018–19 and stayed through 2023–24, six years on the spin. A Hungarian Cup was added in 2019–20, and again in 2024–25 and 2025–26.

That later run coincided with a change in where the club plays its hockey. The senior side now competes in the ICE Hockey League as well as the domestic OB I, so a Hungarian title is no longer the only measure of a season. The reserve team, Ferencvárosi TC II, works as a feeder in the second-tier OB II. It took bronze there in 2023–24.

Home games are at the Tüskecsarnok, a hall that holds 2,540 for ice hockey.
