Înainte Modelu

The ground in Modelu carries the name of Vasile Enache. When the previous club, Prefab 05 Modelu, a Liga II side with a stadium for 5,000, broke up, the commune was left with a ground and no team to put on it.

The answer, in 2009, was Asociația Club Sportiv Înainte Modelu — a village side starting again from the county leagues rather than an attempt to rebuild what had gone. It won Liga IV in Călărași in 2013/14 and took promotion to Liga III, where it has stayed since. That title remains the only one on the club's list; the Romanian Cup has produced nothing worth recording.

The best of the Liga III seasons was 2022/23, when Modelu finished fourth in Seria III. Playing in front of 1,000 seats, third-tier football has proved durable rather than a brief visit.

The stadium is the part of the story that predates everything else here. Enache's name was on it before Înainte existed, and it was the ground, not a squad or a licence, that made a second club in Modelu worth founding at all.
