Magpies

Louis Perry was eighteen and had just left Portsmouth's youth setup when he put down £500 of his own money in 2013 to register a football club with the Gibraltar Football Association. He brought in friends from Bruno's Bar & Restaurant to fill out the squad, and the bar gave the club its first name.

The black and white stripes came later, at the urging of an early coach, Mick Embleton, who supported Newcastle United and pushed for "Magpies" to be added alongside "Bruno's". Domestically the club is still known as Bruno's Magpies; since June 2022 it has entered UEFA competitions as FCB Magpies, a rebrand forced by the governing body's naming rules.

Home matches are shared between two grounds. Europa Point Stadium, the smaller of the two, sits close to Victoria Stadium, and the derby against neighbours Europa Point FC is played out between clubs based within a few hundred metres of each other.

Promotion came in 2018–19, when Magpies took both the Second Division and its cup in the same season, and the club has stayed in the top flight since. Nathan Rooney, appointed head coach in January 2022, took the side to third place in the Premier Division in 2022–23 and again in 2023–24 — finishes that came either side of the club's first Rock Cup win.

That cup has been won twice: in 2023, alongside the Pepe Reyes Cup, and again in 2025.
