TuS Metzingen lifted the DHB-Pokal in 2024. Runners-up in the Handball-Bundesliga Frauen in 2016 and third five times since then, in 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The parent club dates back to 1861, though it was the handball section that carried the Metzingen name onto the national stage, reaching a DHB-Pokal final as far back as 1978. The nickname TusSies stuck to the team, and so did the pink kit.
That arena is no longer in Metzingen. League rules on venue capacity pushed the club out of the Öschhalle and into the Paul Horn-Arena in neighbouring Tübingen, a ground holding 3,132.
