Sisto Averno went from Muhlenberg College to the Baltimore Colts and the New York Yanks, alongside Scrapper Farrell, who played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Brooklyn Dodgers.
The Mules trace back to 1900, and by 1946 they had reason to call themselves champions: a small-college national title settled in the Tobacco Bowl.
Repetition, though, is its own kind of record. A 2019 semi-final run kept that habit current rather than historical.
Home games are played in red and grey at Scotty Wood Stadium.
