Sasa

Play at Sasa long enough and the club's whole story sits in one line: nine seasons in a row in the top flight after independence. Makedonska Kamenica's team reached that level in 1992–93 and held it through 2000–01, twice finishing fifth, before relegation ended the run and a further drop took them down to the Third League by 2003.

The town explains the name before anything else does. Rudari means the miners. The club itself was formed in 1968, and its one line of silverware from the old system, the Macedonian Republic League in 1991–92, came just as Macedonia was becoming a country of its own — Sasa stepped from a regional third tier straight into a national First League the following season.

Getting back up has taken longer than falling did. It was not until 2017, after finishing fourth in the Third League's eastern section, that Sasa returned to the Second League. In the same year the town's women's side, ŽFK Kamenica Sasa, was founded, taking the national women's championship in 2019–20 and retaining it in 2020–21.
