Sorhaga Alingsas

Nolhalla Ishall holds 1,200 people, a scale that suits a club that has spent most of its life in Division 2 and Division 3 rather than chasing space in the top flight. Green and white have been the colours since the ice hall started filling with a merged crowd rather than two separate ones.

That merger happened in 1985, joining Sörhaga IK, which had run hockey since the 1939/1940 season, with Alingsås HC, a club that had gone by Red Devils and IK Raska drängar before settling on its own name in 1969. Two Alingsås clubs became one, and the new side kept the lower-division rhythm both had known separately: a relegation from Division 2 in 2017/2018, promotion playoffs contested in 2008/2009, 2011/2012 and 2012/2013, without a national title to date.

The name people outside Alingsås know is Christian Bäckman, who left this club for an Olympic gold medal and a career in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues. On the scoresheet at home, it is Sebastian Mårtensson who stands clear, with 421 points across his time at the club, ahead of Niclas Mårtensson's 353.

Matches against Vänersborgs HC, Grästorps IK and Tibro IK carry the closest thing the club has to a local edge, played out without a derby name attached, in front of the same 1,200 seats at Nolhalla, in the same town that has watched this club since before it had its current one.
