Tikveš

The 2023–24 Macedonian Cup final ended 2–1 to a side that had gone its entire existence in an independent Macedonia without lifting a trophy. Voska Sport led, or at least matched Tikvesh score for score, before Kavadarci's club found the winner and took the cup back to its town.

That earlier chapter belonged to Yugoslavia. Twice, in 1971–72 and 1977–78, Tikvesh won the Macedonian republican league. The second of those titles carried a name worth keeping: Angel Kimov, who spent 1966 to 1979 in the club's colours and scored 34 goals in that 1977–78 season alone, enough to top the scoring charts for the whole Macedonian championship. An earlier forward, Vuko Karov, is remembered from the 1950s and 60s.

The club itself dates to 21 December 1930, founded as FK Tikvesh, and it absorbed a local rival, FK Bor Kavadarci, in 1983, keeping its own name afterwards. A spell as FK Tikvesh Nacional under a sponsorship deal between 2008 and 2009 gave way, once the deal ended, to the original name again. Independence in 1992 made Tikvesh one of the founding members of Macedonia's First League, a competition it has never won outright — the league table has stayed out of reach even as the cup finally arrived in 2024.

Oliver Bogatinov took charge as head coach for the 2025/26 season, in which the club sits fifth in the First League.
