Turan Turkistan

Turkistan Arena holds 7,000 people. Turan plays its home matches there in the blue and white it has carried through several identities.

The current side traces back to a club founded in 1990 as Montazhnik, which became Yassy in 1993, and returned in 2003 under the name Kostuin before settling as Arys the following year. It played as Arys until 2020, and only took the name Turan afterwards. Two silver medals mark the club's rise through the divisions under that earlier name: second place in the Second League in 2019, then second in the First League in 2020. Abdukhalik Buribayev managed the club through that promotion.

Once in the Premier League, Turan settled into the lower half of the table — 12th in 2021, 13th in 2022, 12th again in 2024. Shokan Abzalov led the scoring in the 2022 top-flight campaign with four goals. The club's clearest run in cup competition came in 2024/25, when it beat Atyrau 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals.

By 2026 Turan was back in the First League, competing there and in the Kazakhstan Cup. Through all its name changes and the promotion it earned as Arys, the club has yet to win a major trophy — no league title, no Cup.
