Cornubia Park
Shailer Park, Australia
Formerly: Cornubia Park Sports Centre
Cornubia Park is not a single pitch or a single hall; it is a collection of hard courts and climbing walls run under the banner of the Logan City Council.
For a long time this was simply the Logan City sports centre, but the sponsorship agreement with Bendigo Bank changed the name and the focus. The bank returned as a major partner in 2022, ensuring the facility remains the commercial heart of the area. The venue is managed by Logan Basketball Inc., a fact that explains why the interior is so heavily oriented towards the local Logan Thunder . The Thunder’s women’s team won championships in 2021 and 2025, but the courts are also shared with the Loganholme Lightning Football Club and the Cornubia Park Netball Association.
The outdoor pitches used by the football club are part of the adjacent complex, not the main building, and their surface remains unclear. Inside, the hard courts are the defining feature. They are not a pitched field of grass, but a series of hard floors where basketball, netball, and futsal share the same space.
The building is a community hub, a place where the local teams train and the public climbs a wall or plays badminton. It is a local facility in a local suburb, built in 1998 as Logan City’s first indoor sports centre. It is not a temple to football, but a gym for the city.
