Enterprise Center
St. Louis, United States
Formerly: Kiel Center, Savvis Center, Scottrade Center
Opened on 8 October 1994 , the Enterprise Center houses the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Blues have played their home matches here since 1995, and the capacity of 18,096 seats was set at that time.
The most visible change inside the building is not the seating arrangement, but the signage. The venue has been renamed four times in its life. It began as the Kiel Center before becoming the Savvis Center, then the Scottrade Center, and finally, on 1 July 2018, the Enterprise Center. The arena is located at 1401 Clark Avenue, a site that has remained constant despite the changing name on the roof.
The surface itself is artificial, maintained by a system that runs through the night to keep the ice hard enough for the puck. The arena has seen renovations, including upgrades to the ice plant between 2017 and 2019, but the basic layout remains the same: a rectangular sheet surrounded by tiers of seats.
