Estádio Dr. Francisco de Palma Travassos

The Estádio Dr. Francisco de Palma Travassos is better known to locals as the Estádio do Comercial. Built on land donated by an engineer, the ground earned the nickname Joia de Cimento Armado, or Jewel of Reinforced Concrete.

The single main stand dominates one side of the pitch. The concrete steps are painted white, and the word 'COMERCIAL' is painted in large black letters across the tiers, a graphic that turns the seating area into a billboard for the club. The pitch itself is a natural grass surface that stretches across the ground, with the city skyline visible in the distance beyond the perimeter fencing. A tall metal lattice mast stands behind the far end, providing floodlighting for night matches.

The venue has a history of adapting to different purposes. A major remodeling in 2011 removed the athletics track that once surrounded the field, allowing the fences to move closer to the action and increasing the available space for spectators. This change was part of a broader strategy to convert the ground into a multi-purpose arena, hosting everything from the Campeonato Paulista to large-scale concerts like the Festival João Rock. The club, Comercial Futebol Clube, continues to use it as its home, though the atmosphere remains defined by the unforgiving nature of the concrete stands and the clear view of the city that rises behind the pitch.
