Heino Lipp Stadium

The arena stands next to the school it was originally built to serve, and for decades it carried no name beyond a description of that function — Jõhvi Põhikooli staadion, the ground of Jõhvi's primary school. It only became a stadium in the fuller sense on 21 June 2022, when the rebuilt venue was named after Heino Lipp on what would have been the Estonian athlete's hundredth birthday.

The renaming followed a reconstruction that ran from 2020 to 2022, though the contractors and the final cost of that work were not made public.

Jõhvi FC Phoenix moved its home fixtures here from 2024, having previously played at the older Jõhvi linnastaadion, and the club used the ground through its 2025 campaign in Esiliiga B, Estonia's third tier.
