Heino Lipu Stadium holds 794, a ground Phoenix have used only since 2024, after more than a decade playing across town at Jõhvi's municipal stadium. The move gave the club a home built for football rather than shared civic use.
The top-flight stay lasted one season. Jõhvi finished ninth in 2014, then met Viljandi's Tulevik in the relegation play-off and could not find a way through — two draws, 0:0 and 1:1 — and dropped back down.
In February 2018 the club discarded the Lokomotiv name and its railway connotations entirely, becoming Jõhvi FC Phoenix and switching to orange and black.
The clearest recent success came indoors: Phoenix's futsal side reached the final of the 2022/23 Estonian Futsal Cup, losing 0:3 to Tallinn's Kosmos. The football side plays in Esiliiga B, the third tier.
