Honda Center
Anaheim, United States
Formerly: Anaheim Arena, Pond of Anaheim, Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim
**Honda Center**
There is no natural grass here, no open sky; the air is kept cold by machinery buried beneath the floor. The surface is artificial, maintained by a mechanical refrigeration system standard for this type of venue.
What makes this ground different is not its shape — many arenas look like this — but the fact that it has lived through three identities. It opened as Pond of Anaheim, then became Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, and has been Honda Center since 2006. A major renovation, called OC Vibe, is underway for 2025-2027, with a budget of $1 billion. The highest attendance record stands at 17,387, set at UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 on July 29, 2017.
The arena also hosted WrestleMania XII in 1996 and WrestleMania 2000, along with the 1999 NCAA Frozen Four and the 2005 IBF World Badminton Championships. During the 2020 US presidential election it served as a drive-through voting location. The official website is https://www.hondacenter.com/.
