The site splits into two distinct lives. A pitch was first marked out here in 1912, and the stadium standing today dates from a full reconstruction carried out in 2009 and 2010.

That fits the venue's general profile: built for a crowd, rarely tested by one. The best-documented gate in recent years came for a visit from Slovan in 2018, when attendance topped a thousand; matches since have drawn closer to a hundred. No cup final, no national-team fixture, no concert has left a trace here. The town's other arena, the Zimný štadión, handles ice hockey a short walk away and has nothing to do with this ground.
