Športni park Vrhnika

NK Vrhnika play in front of five hundred people at most, which puts the club's own ground at the modest end of the Slovenian pyramid, but the site does more than host one team. It sits within a wider sports park on Tržaška cesta, and alongside the natural grass pitch there is a second, artificial surface measuring 90 by 45 metres — enough for the club, founded in 1973 as ATET Dren Vrhnika, to run training and youth football without leaning on the main field.

The club's competitive standing has pushed the ground to catch up. In 2024 work went into a new stand and new changing rooms, brought in specifically to meet league requirements — the kind of upgrade a club does when results start to outrun the infrastructure rather than out of any long-term redevelopment plan.

Beyond that, little about the stadium's own history survives on record: no confirmed date of construction or opening, no run of former names. What is documented points to a working local ground rather than a landmark one, its address shared with the wider Športna zveza Vrhnika complex at Tržaška cesta 2a, with the club entrance and offices at number 9.
