Sportpark "Am Hallo"

The Sportpark "Am Hallo" sits in the Stoppenberg district. It is not a single stadium. There is no single name for the complex beyond its official title. What stands out is the separation of uses. Outside, a natural grass pitch sits surrounded by a running track. It has telescopic stands that can be retracted, allowing the space to shift between basketball and handball.

The capacity of 2,600 is a figure that has stayed steady for years, despite the hall closing for renovations due to water damage in 2018. When it reopened, the configuration remained unchanged. The outdoor stadium, completed in 2001, hosts the Assindia Cardinals and local football sides, but its most significant moment arrived as a semi-final tie for the DFB-Pokal.

There is no grand stand facing the pitch; the seating is concentrated within the covered hall. The facility is now set to host basketball and archery for the 2025 FISU World University Games, a role that fits its multi-purpose design.
