Sportpark Kapserbrücke
Kitzbühel, Austria
Formerly: Mercedes-Benz Sportpark Kitzbühel
Sportpark Kapserbrücke sits at Wehrgasse 6 in the Kitzbühel district of Tyrol. It replaced the open-air Lebenbergstadion, which had served the town since 1930 before closing in 1965. The current indoor hall opened in December 2006 for EC Kitzbühel, known as 'Die Adler', since that December.
The venue holds 1,700 spectators, split between 900 seats and 800 standing places. The ice is artificial, a facility that has also hosted curling events like the 2008 European Mixed Curling Championship under the Mercedes-Benz Sportpark Kitzbühel name. The highest crowd recorded was 111 for a women’s match in 2017.
EC Kitzbühel plays in the Alps Hockey League.
It is a place for sport, not spectacle.
