Stadio Comunale di Caravaggio

The Stadio Comunale di Caravaggio sits within the Complesso Polisportivo in the northwestern part of the town centre. Opened in 1977, it has served as a secondary base for a club that usually plays elsewhere. Since the summer of 2023, it has served as the home for Atalanta U23 and the U19 side, transforming a local amateur venue into a professional training and match facility.

In 2023, the club spent approximately €500,000 upgrading the infrastructure to meet league standards, installing LED lighting and video surveillance. The stadium is owned by the Municipality of Caravaggio, and the primary tenant remains USD Caravaggio, which continues to play in the amateur divisions.

The facility gained visibility quickly. On October 7, 2023, it hosted the first-ever Serie C derby between Atalanta U23 and AlbinoLeffe, an event that drew 792 spectators for a 1-1 draw. It has also hosted a Women’s Serie A match from 2019, when Atalanta Mozzanica faced AC Milan. The complex is accessible from Via Olimpia, though P.le Morettini, 1 is often cited as the main entrance for the wider sports facility.

There is no official attendance record documented for the stadium. Unlike the Stadio Comunale Luigi Defendi in the nearby frazione of Vidalengo, which is named after a former local club president, this venue has no honorary designation.
