Nordstrand beat Bekkelaget 37-24 in a club friendly on 13 August 2026. The result followed a meeting between the two sides just five days earlier, when Nordstrand won 30-23. This time the margin was wider.
Nordstrand have been in good form. They beat Halden 34-30 on 9 August, Won against Bodø 28-27 the day before, and picked up that victory over Bekkelaget on 8 August. Four wins in five matches shows a side finding its rhythm.
Bekkelaget's run has been tougher. They held Bodø to a 24-24 draw on 9 August, but lost to Nordstrand 23-30 the previous day and to Haslum HC 26-27 on 7 August. The draw kept their side in it, but losses piled up.
By then Bekkelaget had already tasted defeat against Arendal 36-37 and Drammen 24-28 in April. The friendly did not shift those numbers, but it confirmed the gap between the two sides when Nordstrand played better.
Nordstrand's forwards refused to go away. They scored 13 more goals than in their last meeting with Bekkelaget, and Bekkelaget's defence could not keep up. The academy graduates on the visiting side marked their first start with a goal, but there were too many of them to count.
The scoreline tells the story. Bekkelaget ended a barren spell of three consecutive losses with a draw, but this result meant they had hit a wall. Nordstrand keep their confidence rolling.
