Cheronushko Moscow secured a 4-2 victory against KDV in the Regions Path third round of the Cup on Tuesday. The away side came from behind after KDV struck twice in the opening half. D. Kondrakov sealed the win with a double in the final quarter of the match. By then the result was beyond doubt.
KDV took the lead through R. Gaynullin in the eighth minute. M. Grachev doubled the home side's advantage four minutes later. Gaynullin restored parity just before the interval with his second goal. Cheronushko responded after the break when Kondrakov found the net in the 54th minute.
The away side took control in the closing stages. Melnikov levelled the score in the 60th minute before Kondrakov struck again two minutes later. And here's the thing about this result — Cheronushko showed composure after falling behind. They didn't panic when the home side led 3-1 at one point.
KDV arrive at this fixture with mixed recent form. They drew 2-2 with Novosibirsk on 12 August and lost 3-0 to Irkutsk earlier in the year. Cheronushko's last outing was a goalless draw with Chita, while they lost 2-1 to Volgar on 20 August 2025.
The victory moves Cheronushko into a stronger position in the tournament. KDV will need to regroup quickly with further cup ties ahead. To be fair, the home side showed they can compete at this level, but consistency remains the question.
