Kristianstad played out a 1-1 draw with Rösgård in the Damallsvenskan's regular season on Saturday. The match ended level after two first-half goals, neither side able to find a winner despite the hosts' dominance in possession. Kristianstad sat fifth in the table with 25 points from 16 games, while Rösgård remained 13th on 11 points.
R. Siemsen gave Kristianstad the lead in the 16th minute, then E. Hansson equalised for Rösgård seven minutes later. Both goals came in the opening quarter of the match, and by then the pattern was set — Kristianstad pushing forward, Rösgård looking for chances on the break. The hosts had more attacks and corners, but Rösgård's four shots on target proved more efficient than Kristianstad's two.
Substitutions began in the 63rd minute when E. Sigurjonsdottir came on for Kristianstad. Rösgård made two changes in the 71st minute, bringing on A. Imo and T. Sorbo, while Kristianstad added S. Sider-Echenberg in the 73rd and L. Boama in the 79th. The hosts threw bodies forward in the second half but could not turn their possession into a second goal.
Kristianstad completed 118 attacks compared with Rösgård's 74, and held 62 per cent of possession. The hosts had six corners and 12 free kicks, while Rösgård managed none from set plays and conceded five offside calls. Kristianstad's one shot on target went in for their goal, but Rösgård's four on target produced one as well — both sides had the chance to win and neither took it.
The result extended Kristianstad's unbeaten run to eight matches, with a 5-0 win over Norrköping Women earlier this month showing their attacking potential. Rösgård's recent form has been harder, including a 0-1 loss to Eskilstuna United and a 0-2 defeat against Växjö. This draw leaves both sides where they were before kickoff — Kristianstad mid-table, Rösgård fighting to escape the lower half.
