K. Falowski opened the scoring in the 31st minute, a moment that shifted the momentum before Nieciecza responded quickly. K. Podlinski converted a penalty in the 39th to level matters, and by then the game had settled into something more tactical than fluent. Łódź kept their side in it through a disciplined defensive shape, and the first half ended level with both sides having earned their share of chances.
