Pogoń Grod. Mazowiecki

The ground at al. Mokronoskich holds barely 1,000 people, 514 of them in seats, and this season Pogoń Grodzisk Mazowiecki cannot use it at all. Promotion into the I liga came with facility requirements the Stadion Miejski does not meet, so home fixtures this year are played on the pitch in Pruszków that belongs to Znicz Pruszków — the club on the other side of the fixture known locally as Derby Mazowsza.

The club started out in July 1922 as K.S. Świt Grodzisk Mazowiecki and took the name Pogoń in 1926, keeping the red and white it still wears.

The climb through the divisions came in two separate jumps, years apart. A play-off win over Huragan Wołomin took the club out of the IV liga in 2018/2019, and the III liga title two seasons later sent it into the II liga for the first time. The bigger step came under Piotr Stokowiec, whose side won the II liga in 2024/2025 and put Pogoń in the second tier of Polish football for the first time in its history — a project Stokowiec himself described as a "pilot" run in cooperation with Legia Warsaw. He no longer oversees it: Tomasz Kafarski took the bench in July 2026.

The same cup campaign that season showed what the club could do against bigger names. Pogoń beat Lechia Gdańsk on penalties, 4-3 after a 1-1 draw, before Sandecja ended the run 1-0. Lechia had the last word a year later, winning the first-round rematch 1-0.

Captain Damian Jaroń, an academy product, has worn the armband through more than a decade at the club. Last year the squad also gained a Polish international, Radosław Majewski, once of Legia, Getafe and Lechia. Until the club's own stadium clears I liga standards, the away end in Pruszków — 1,977 seats — is the closest thing Pogoń has to a home ground.
