Skive end draw streak with victory over Ringsted
Skive claimed their first win of the season with a 40:35 victory over Ringsted in the Men's Handball League on Tuesday evening. The result ended a run of two draws for both sides, who had gone pointless heading into this fixture.
Skive, sitting 12th on the table, finally broke through after failing to secure a win in their opening two matches. Ringsted, meanwhile, dropped to 14th place following their second consecutive draw without a single victory so far this season.
The home side had lost their most recent outing 33:36 to Sønderjyske before this match, while Ringsted had been beaten 30:40 by Skjern on Saturday. Both teams were looking for momentum after those defeats.
Skive's previous results included a 36:32 win over Skanderborg and a 34:30 victory against Holstebro earlier in the campaign. Ringsted's only win this season came against Nordsjælland 30:26 in April, with losses to Skjern and Skanderborg in August.
The result moves Skive off the bottom of the table while Ringsted remain in the relegation zone, still searching for their first points of the campaign.
