Szabadkikötő — Gödöllő, Magyar Kupa

Gödöllő claimed a 2-0 victory over Szabodkioto in the Round of 128 of the Hungarian Cup on Saturday evening. The away side secured their place in the next round despite a spirited home performance from the hosts.

A. Mertse was the story of the match, netting twice in quick succession. His first goal came in the 69th minute, and he added a penalty in the 77th to put the visitors firmly in control.

Szabodkioto had their chances. They scored in the 68th minute to briefly take the lead, then found the net again in the 77th, but it was not enough to change the outcome.

The match grew tense in the final quarter. A. Kiss received a red card in the 87th minute, leaving the home side to finish the game with ten men.

Gödöllő's recent form has been mixed, with losses against Majoshi and Dorogi among their last results. This victory should give them confidence as they look ahead to the next round.
