About the player
Andrés Alarcón came through Argentinos Juniors' youth ranks in Argentina before returning to Colombia to join Patriotas Boyacá in 2023. He made his top-flight debut against América de Cali the following February, and across two seasons with Patriotas he racked up 54 league appearances and six goals from central defence.
A loan to Deportivo Pasto in 2025 kept his progress going, with 25 appearances and four goals in the Colombian top flight. In September 2025 he moved to Russia, joining Dynamo Makhachkala on loan from Patriotas Boyacá. He debuted in the Russian Cup against Rostov, and the loan spell included an option to make the move permanent. Dynamo Makhachkala exercised it in July 2026, signing Alarcón on a three-year contract.
At international level, Alarcón has represented Colombia at under-23 level, featuring at the 2023 Pan American Games, where he scored against Honduras in matches that also included Brazil and Uruguay.
