About the player
He had made his first-team debut with Aucas less than two years earlier, in April 2021, after coming through spells with Clan Juvenil and Norte América.
In July 2025, Cádiz CF took him on loan for the season, handing him the number 29 shirt in Segunda División. He picked up four yellow cards over the campaign and did not register a goal or an assist. Cádiz did not lift any silverware that season.
Once the loan ended, Caicedo returned to Genk before moving on again, joining FC Vizela on a permanent transfer with a contract running to 2028 and the option of a further year. Internationally, he has represented Ecuador at under-20 level, collecting three caps in 2022.
