A. Kandeias

André Candeias grew up inside Farense: after a single season at FC São Luís, he joined the club's youth ranks in 2011 and stayed there for fifteen years before settling into the Liga Revelação side with S.C. Farense U23. Faro-born and left-footed despite playing on the right, he built his reputation as a right winger who could also drop into an offensive midfield role.

His breakthrough season came in 2023/2024, when he scored nine goals in the Liga Revelação. He went further still the following year, finishing 2024/2025 as the competition's top scorer with 17 to 18 goals and picking up the MVP award as voted by the Players' Union. That form carried him into the Farense first team, where he made his senior debut in the Primeira Liga during the 2024/2025 season, wearing the number 17 shirt he still holds.

The club moved to secure his long-term future soon after: on 6 January 2026, Candeias signed a contract extension with Farense running until 30 June 2028, with a release clause set at 7.5 million euros. He has yet to add a senior title to his record, and there is no sign so far of a call-up to the Portugal senior national team, though he has previously featured for the country's youth categories.
