Andrés Correa Valencia

Andrés Correa spent eight years anchored to one club, a stretch of stability that stands out against the start of his career, when loans and a brief, unproductive move to the United States kept shifting him from place to place. The left-back came through Independiente Medellín, making his professional debut there in 2011 at the age of 17.

A loan to Fortaleza CEIF followed in 2014, and the next year took him to Seattle Sounders FC, where he never made a first-team appearance. He was sent instead to the club's affiliate side, Tacoma Defiance, making around 16 appearances in the USL before returning to Colombia. At Boyacá Chicó, between 2016 and 2017, he played 31 matches and scored once.

It was at La Equidad, from 2017 to 2025, that Correa spent the longest stretch of his career, staying for eight seasons before leaving by mutual agreement in the middle of 2025. He then signed for Deportivo Cali on a free transfer, agreeing a deal through July 2026, and made 16 appearances with one goal in his first season there. At the start of 2026 he moved on to Once Caldas.

Correa never played for Colombia's senior team, but he was capped 21 times at youth level across the under-17, under-20 and under-21 sides. With the under-20s he won the South American championship in Argentina in 2013 and went on to reach the round of 16 at that year's under-20 World Cup.
