Aidan Keena

Aidan Keena began at Mullingar Athletic before spells with Shelbourne's U17s and St Patrick's Athletic's U19s, and signed his first professional contract with St Patrick's in January 2017, making his senior debut soon after. Within the year Heart of Midlothian bought him, and loan spells at Queen's Park and Dunfermline Athletic followed before his Hearts contract ran out in 2020.

Keena was signed on a free transfer by Sligo Rovers in January 2022, scoring 18 league goals that season to finish as the League of Ireland Premier Division's top scorer, with 21 in all competitions, and picked up the PFAI Premier Division Team of the Year award along with Player of the Month honours in March and July. He also scored on his European debut for the club, against Bala Town in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The form earned him a move to Cheltenham Town in January 2023 for a fee that stood as a club record for Sligo, though his time in League One and then League Two brought only seven goals in 62 appearances before he was released in 2024.

Keena returned to St Patrick's Athletic on a free transfer in July 2024. He has continued to find the net regularly, winning another League of Ireland Player of the Month award in February 2025 after scoring three goals, including a brace against Sligo Rovers, and was later given the club's Goal of the Season award for a strike against Galway United. He has also featured for St Patrick's in the Leinster Senior Cup and in European competition, scoring the club's goal against Hegelmann.
