Arttu Mikael Lötjönen

Arttu Lötjönen came through Finnish youth football before the move that shaped his career so far: a free transfer to Sampdoria in January 2023, straight out of FC Jazz's first team. He had made his name at Jazz with fifty appearances across two seasons in the Kakkonen, having progressed there through the club's youth ranks after starting out at TOVE in the Kolmonen.

Lötjönen was assigned to Sampdoria's Primavera side and did not make a single official appearance for the first team in Serie A or the Coppa Italia. He signed his first professional contract with the club in January 2024, and was called into the senior squad once, for an away trip to face Ascoli, without getting onto the pitch. That contract ran only until the end of June 2024, and by December he had left the club altogether.

He returned to Finland in January 2025, joining KuPS on a free transfer on a two-year deal. At international level, Lötjönen has represented Finland's youth sides, picking up caps and a goal for the U21s alongside earlier appearances for the U19s and U18s, though a first call-up to the senior national team has yet to come.
