About the player
Cassamá spent his time with FC Porto B, making eleven appearances in Liga Portugal 2.
Rather than wait it out, he rescinded his contract and joined AC Oulu in Finland. The change suited him. Cassamá became a fixture in Oulu's side, making 21 appearances in the Veikkausliiga and scoring once, while also featuring in the Finnish Cup and League Cup. His disciplinary record has been spotless, without a single yellow or red card in the league.
He made his debut coming on as a substitute in a 2–0 win over Djibouti in Bissau, replacing Iano Simão Imbeni in the 82nd minute. He was named in the squad for the following qualifiers against Ethiopia and Egypt, but an injury picked up at AC Oulu ruled him out before he could add to his solitary cap.
