Andrew Gutman

The left-back grew up in Hinsdale, Illinois, starting out at five in a local AYSO league before moving through the Hawks and Chicago Pride travel sides, then Hinsdale Central High School and the Chicago Fire academy. He played college football at Indiana from 2015 to 2018 and made 13 appearances for Chicago Fire's under-23 side in 2016.

The move to Celtic in 2019 did not produce a competitive appearance for the Scottish club, and Gutman spent that year and the next out on loan in MLS, first at Charlotte Independence, where he scored three goals in 14 games, then at FC Cincinnati for 29 appearances. Atlanta United signed him through the MLS Re-Entry Draft in 2021, and it proved his most productive stint: 43 matches and seven goals, interrupted by a loan to New York Red Bulls that yielded two goals in 22 games.

Colorado Rapids brought him in during 2023 in a deal that sent defender Miguel Navarro and $450,000 in General Allocation Money to Chicago Fire. Gutman made 12 appearances and scored once in Colorado before moving back to Chicago Fire in 2024. Since returning, he has made 58 appearances for Chicago Fire, scoring five goals.

Gutman was named in the United States' preliminary squad for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup but has yet to earn a senior cap.
