Arthur Zagré

Arthur Zagré switched allegiance to Burkina Faso in May 2026 after coming through the French youth ranks, and made his senior debut for the country on 5 June 2026 in a friendly against Russia, a 3-0 defeat, followed four days later by a 2-2 draw with Belarus. He had previously represented France at Under-18 and Under-19 level, appearing 15 times and scoring twice for the U19s.

Zagré joined the Paris Saint-Germain academy in 2013 and signed his first professional contract there in September 2018, the same year he was named the club's most promising youth talent. He made his senior debut in August 2019 but left almost immediately, moving to AS Monaco for a fee of €10 million. He never made a league appearance for either PSG or Monaco, though he was part of the PSG squad that won the Ligue 1 title and Trophée des Champions.

His time at Monaco was defined by loan spells rather than first-team involvement in the principality. He went to Dijon, then to FC Utrecht, and later to Excelsior Rotterdam in January 2023. That last loan became permanent in June 2023, when he signed a contract with Excelsior until 2026. He is now set to return to Utrecht on a free transfer in July 2026, the club where he wore the number 92 shirt during his loan spells and will do so again.
