Augusto Aguirre

Augusto Aguirre started out as a forward in the youth ranks of Club Alvear, in his home city of Corrientes. In 2015 he joined River Plate's youth system, and in 2017 he signed his first professional contract there.

He was handed a debut for River Plate on 28 October 2017, aged 18, against Talleres — a 0-4 defeat. It stayed his only senior appearance for the club. Between 2017 and 2022 he remained on the books at the club.

Game time came elsewhere. A loan at Godoy Cruz in 2021 brought three matches. The following year he moved on loan to San Martín de San Juan, where he played 22 times and scored once; the club signed him permanently in 2023 and he made 30 appearances, again with a goal. In January 2024 he joined Tigre, playing seven matches, before moving to Temperley that June. There he became a regular, with 18 appearances.

Aguirre left Argentina at the start of 2025, crossing to Chile as a free agent to sign for Deportes Limache, where he wears number 2. He played 13 league matches and one cup tie in his first season. By August 2026 his record for the club stood at 19 appearances in the Liga de Primera, totalling 1,710 minutes, plus two in the Copa de la Liga. His 2026 figures include 26 interceptions, 17 tackles and 73 recoveries.
