Carlos Daniel Meza Villa

The medal Carlos Daniel Meza Villa collected in 2025 came at the end of a season split between two clubs. He began the year at Deportivo Binacional in Liga 1, then moved to FC Cajamarca in July and won the Liga 2 title with them.

Meza came through the youth system at Sporting Cristal, where he played for the under-20 side across 2019 and 2020. Cristal then sent him out on a series of loans. The first, to Carlos A. Mannucci in 2021, brought three appearances and 120 minutes, one of them in the Copa Sudamericana. The following season at Ayacucho FC was the closest he had come to a settled run: 18 matches, nine in the Apertura and eight in the Clausura, plus one play-off, and just over a thousand minutes on the pitch.

The 2023 loan to ADT did not work out. He spent the season without a single official league appearance for the Tarma club.

He rebuilt at Deportivo Coopsol in 2024, playing 15 Liga 2 matches and providing three assists over 1,134 minutes. At Cajamarca the picture changed again: around ten to twelve matches, two goals and two assists in roughly 770 minutes.

At youth international level, Meza was part of the Peru squad for the 2019 South American Under-17 Championship, held in Peru. He has one cap at that level, a 45-minute substitute appearance in the group stage. He has not played for the senior national side.
