Christ Ivan Alex Wawa came through the youth system at Racing Club Abidjan and worked his way into the first team, where he spent three seasons in the Ivorian Ligue 1. In that spell he scored 11 league goals and made three appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup. In August 2025 BK Häcken signed the right winger for a fee of around €300,000, tying him to a five-year contract that runs until the summer of 2030. His Allsvenskan debut came on 21 September 2025, when he was brought on as a substitute against Hammarby IF in a match Häcken lost 4–0. Wawa has also featured for the Ivory Coast at under-20 level, where he has scored twice in four caps. He was part of the Ivorian U20 squad that reached the final of the 2024 Tournoi Maurice Revello in Toulon, a run that ended in a penalty shoot-out defeat to Ukraine.
