Callum Wright

Everton let Callum Wright go when he was just 13. He found his way back into the professional game through Blackburn Rovers' academy and then Leicester City, where two loan spells at Cheltenham Town gave him his first taste of senior football — a season with four goals followed by a longer stint that yielded nine. It was enough to persuade Blackpool to sign him permanently in 2022.

His time at Bloomfield Road proved brief, restricted to ten appearances, and he moved on to Plymouth Argyle. From there, in July 2025, he joined Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan — the move that has defined his career so far. Wright played 41 league matches and scored seven goals.

Wright's development was tracked by England at youth level, where he won four caps for the Under-18s and featured in the 2018 Panda Cup in China, though he did not find the net in that spell. He has not featured for any senior national side.

More recently, his path has taken him to Hibernian, for whom he has made two league appearances.
