David Rodríguez Uribe

David Rodríguez Uribe came through the American system before finding his footballing identity south of the border. He started out at North Texas SC, where he helped the club win the USL League One title in 2019, then spent several seasons on loan around MLS-affiliated sides — Phoenix Rising, Austin FC II and Austin FC itself — before Atlético San Luis made his move permanent.

Those loan years produced one clear moment: with the youth side he was part of an Apertura 2024 title, and in Austin's system he picked up an MLS Next Pro Cup winner's medal in 2023. But the defining stretch of his career so far came further north. Sent on loan to Atlético Ottawa for the 2025 season, Rodríguez became one of the club's most productive players, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances, and was named the Canadian Premier League's player of the month in April.

The season built to a single night. In the Canadian Premier League final against Cavalry, Rodríguez scored twice, including a bicycle kick that won the match in extra time. He was named man of the match as Atlético Ottawa lifted the first title in the club's history, also securing the North Star Cup along the way.

Rodríguez holds dual Mexican and American nationality and represented the United States at under-17 level, earning two caps in 2018. He returned to Atlético San Luis at the start of 2026.
