Dejan Sorgić

He started out at FC Aegeri before moving into the academy at FC Luzern. It was away from Luzern that his scoring instincts began to show: at SC Kriens he scored 17 goals in 46 games.

A move to France with AJ Auxerre followed, on a fee reported at €180,000, though his time there yielded just 2 goals in 17 appearances. He returned to Switzerland and rediscovered his scoring touch, most notably at FC Sion, where 22 goals in 69 league games helped the club win the Challenge League in the 2023/2024 season. A spell at Yverdon-Sport brought a further 7 goals in 21 appearances before he signed for FC Vaduz on a free transfer.

At Vaduz he has made an immediate mark in European competition, scoring twice in three Conference League qualification matches, while his early league form has brought one assist without a goal from three appearances. Despite Serbian citizenship and Swiss residency, he has not represented Switzerland, Serbia or Croatia at senior international level. Known chiefly for his finishing and his presence in the air, he remains, at this stage of his career, a forward defined more by goals scored for unfashionable clubs than by silverware.
