Kjell Dennis Collander

Kjell Dennis Collander's career at Hammarby IF was shaped as much by injury as by form. After joining the club from Örebro SK in January 2022 on a four-and-a-half-year contract worth around 5 million kronor, the midfielder made 14 league appearances for the senior side and had a brief loan spell at Hammarby TFF. Knee injuries then kept him sidelined for long stretches between 2022 and 2024, and it was not until May 2026 that he returned to play for Hammarby, shortly before his contract ran out.

Collander moved to GAIS on a free transfer at the end of June 2026, signing a short-term deal for the rest of the season with an option to extend by three more years. He has made eight Allsvenskan appearances for the club, without scoring but with one assist to his name, and has also been involved in the squad's UEFA Conference League qualification campaign, though he did not feature in the match against Nordsjælland.

Born in Västerås, Collander came through Barkarö SK before joining Skiljebo SK, where he made his senior debut in 2018 and scored once in twelve appearances. A move to Örebro SK followed in January 2019, and over three seasons there he added 36 league appearances and two goals before his transfer to Hammarby. At youth international level, he was capped 22 times for Sweden's under-17 side, scoring twice and playing at the 2019 European Under-17 Championship, and later added three appearances for the under-21s, debuting against Finland in June 2021.
