Dikeni-Rafid Salifou

Munich-born but of Togolese descent, Dikeni-Rafid Salifou came through the Augsburg academy, moving up from the U17s to the U19s. He left for Werder Bremen instead, where the pattern held for a while: goals and appearances came with the reserves in the Regionalliga Nord rather than the Bundesliga. That changed on 5 February 2023, when he was sent on as a substitute against VfB Stuttgart in a 2–0 win, his first taste of senior football.

A loan to Juventus Next Gen brought 31 Serie C appearances and two goals, including three matches in the promotion play-offs. A second loan, to SK Austria Klagenfurt in the Austrian Bundesliga, produced 24 league appearances and two goals, with a four-tackle showing against Sturm Graz among the highlights. In September 2025 he moved on a free transfer to KV Mechelen, signing a three-year contract.

Internationally, Salifou opted for Togo over Germany. He was first called up in March 2022 but withdrew through injury, and it took until 22 March 2024 for his senior debut to arrive, starting in a 2–1 friendly win over Niger. He has since turned down a further call-up for World Cup qualifying. At Mechelen, now settled in as a regular squad number.
