About the player
Diogo Bezerra arrived at Rio Ave in January 2026 with a fee that put him among the club's more expensive signings: Portuguese outlets Bola na Rede and SAPO/Record put the deal with OFK Beograd at around €1.8–2m. The contract runs to 30 June 2030.
He made his debut for Porto Vitória in 2018, aged 16. A year later Atlético Mineiro took him into their youth structure, where he stayed until 2021, followed by Ferroviária for a season.
Then came the Red Bull years, and they were busy ones. In 2023 alone he turned out for Red Bull Brasil in January, moved to the Red Bull Bragantino under-20 side in March, and was with the senior Bragantino squad from April to December — with a short return to Porto Vitória in August and September, and another in early 2024.
Europe followed in September 2024, first with NŠ Mura in Slovenia, then with OFK Beograd from February 2025. Serbian media B92.sport valued the subsequent move to Portugal higher than their Portuguese counterparts, at €2.5m.
The first half-season in the Primeira Liga brought 17 appearances, one goal and two assists, plus one match in the Taça de Portugal. Three league games into 2026/27 he has added another assist. FotMob rates his average performance at 6.83. In May 2026, Globo Esporte reported interest from Wolverhampton.
He has not been called up by Brazil at any level.
